Anchoring

- Do not anchor in the channels
- Allow for plenty of swing
- Consider resetting your anchor weekly or before a blow
- Beware of sandbars mid bay
- There are two channels—cross near the bifurcation buoy
- Tidal currents can reach seven knots and reverse frequently
API (Port Authority)

- All boats must pay a port entry fee
- Boats anchored in the API zone pay a daily anchoring fee
- If you are in a marina they pay the API fees. Save your marina receipt.

- Monitor VHF 22A for hailing and emergencies.
- Switch channels for conversations (even outside La Paz)
- Marinas and the Port Captain monitor VHF 16
- Club Cruceros morning VHF Net: 22A at 8am Monday - Saturday
Marina de La Paz Dinghy Dock
Location is indicated on the above map and more details are on the Anchoring Page.
- Small inflatables tie left of the water dock, short painter
- Large inflatables & hard dinghies on the right, longer painter
- Fee: $30USD per month or $1.50 per day, paid at the marina office
- Includes potable water and trash disposal

- Open to everyone
- Playground, lending library, bulletin board, VHF, outgoing mail
- Free WiFi for Club members
- Membership: 200 p/year ($12 USD online). See Membership Page
- Coffee Hour daily except Sunday, 9:30-10:30
- Coffee or tea is only 10 pesos per cup
- Cookies (or sometimes baked goods) are free
- Buy shirts, hats, Mexican courtesy flags, burgees, meet cruisers and get your questions answered
- Pickup a copy of the Cruiser Guide with recommended local services
