The Charity Committee Invites Applications and Volunteers
The Charity Committee works diligently throughout the year to research, evaluate, and support worthwhile causes within our local community. Each program is carefully vetted to ensure that the funds raised by Club Cruceros are directed where they can make the most meaningful and lasting impact. Our goal is to stretch every donated peso as far as possible—helping local families, schools, and organizations that truly make a difference in La Paz.
If you know of a charity or community project that deserves consideration, we invite them to submit an application for review. The deadline for applications is February 1, 2027. To apply click for an application in English or in Spanish.
The committee is always looking for energetic and compassionate volunteers who would like to get involved. If you’re interested in joining the Charity Committee, please email charity@clubcruceros.net for more information.
Read "Before Panic Spreads Through the Fleet"
An article by Rich Boren of La Paz Cruiser's SupplyThis Mexican Law/Rule was posted on the San Carlos Cruisers Facebook Page. Volunteer Opportunity
In keeping with the club objectives we want our members to be aware of any opportunities to serve our local community. The Mexico Marine Wildlife Rescue Center (MMWRC) is based in La Paz. (Formerly 'Centro de Rescate, Museo de la Ballena'). They need active volunteers. This organization responds to strandings (live and dead) of whales, dolphins, seals, sea lions, sea turtles, sea birds, sharks, and rays. These animals may be sick, injured, entangled, or otherwise compromised in some way. For a lot of good information about what they do... Read More
Supporting Our Community: Blood Donation in La Paz
When blood is needed in La Paz, patients must rely on friends, family, and community members to donate on their behalf. There is no automatic blood bank system, so support from the fleet and local community can be essential. Finding qualified donors can sometimes be challenging due to Mexico’s strict eligibility requirements.
Even if you are not responding to a specific request, you may donate at any time to help strengthen the local support network. For more information about the process and current requirements, or review the donor qualifications Check them out here...
Our community takes care of its own — thank you for being willing to help when it matters most.
